I met with the CM yesterday evening and drew his attention to the
issue; he said a CBCID enquiry will be done
to check the source etc.,
This issue is pending since May first week with the Collector & SP
Srikakulam; the Christian community called me again after the second
consignment
was spotted when the Bibles etc., were strewn on the road that lead to
the KVR Paper Mills; the Lorry receipts are from a Waster Paper/Scrap
dealer in Rajamundry.,
many vague stories are circulating about Rajamundry, Tadepalligudem &
Bhimavaram; I have demanded that all Scrap dealers & Paper Mills
owners to steer clear of
CHRISTIAN Holy books and inform the Police of any transaction.
I appeal to our Christian brethren who maybe receiving such
consignments to take delivery or direct the same to any of the
theological colleges in the State who
will be richly blessed to receive such material.

  1. Dear Sister Christine Lazarus in Christ, I appreciate your initiative to meet CM regarding the trucks load of Bibles sold by our Christian Brethren to waste papers, thus KVR paper mills for recycling. I request you to corner the Christian who is recipient of the Bibles, theology books of foreign origin.
    1. The Bar Code sign on the Bible and book will easily reveal where those particular brand new Bibles printed in foreign country. If contacted personally the printer through the local Christian authorities in that country, the printers will easily reveal the Indian consignee's name by going through the records.and the shipment details. Then we will have to contact the Customs authorities in India to get the customs boat notes of the particular consignment landed in India from Ship. These Bibles and Christian literature imported to India should come through customs formalities, cleared from the ship and docks through a central Government of India licensed Clearing House called Clearing and Forwarding agency. I would request Pastor Ganji Ezra, local Christian Leader in Srikakulam, the municipal councilor,District President of All India Christian Council, Srikakulam district chapter, shall approach the Customs and Central Excise Department of India ,to give complaint in writing to unearth the importer/consignee whether he is paying customs tax or getting any exemption? if so he is not distributing them for free or benefiting the society,in turn he is dumping the new imported books for recycling ,we have to quote the case registered number of the concerned case in Srikakulam police station if any. FIR number, then Customs Department which comes under central government ,the ministry of Finance, will file a case and start their investigation and apply to local police to provide them the sample.Once the sample is reached to Customs authorities, its only one day job to locate the Christian Consignee.Meanwhile we have to corner the list of major Bibles and Christian literature importers in India and to find out what is their procedure of disbursing their old books? If they are the main lucrative resource to recycling paper mills, then we Christians have to protest them to donate them to the pastors those are unable buy and read the books.Since it is reportedly imported material,if so, eminent statutory authorities like Mrs.Christine Lazarus can easily meet the Customs Collector in Hyderabd/Delhi to hand over the sample from Srikakulam police and unearth who supplied 35? truck loads of brand new imported Bibles to a recycling paper Mill.Bishops committee should ask the Magistrate to show/supply them the sample of the books if they are presently in the custody of the local police if any.Thank you
